Dan Fleites, in the bottom of the 7th, drove in the game-tying run for the Police at the end of a well played closely matched square-off. A lot of offense in the first two innings put the score at 7-5. But that's where it stayed for the next 5 innings. The last five innings were marked by solid pitching and defense on both sides. For Police, Boynton had 4 solid innings through the stretch and Jack Walsh was the closer. Parker Doyle had the defensive gem of the day for Police with a rally killing assist from right field to first to turn back a sure single. For Salerno, Dom Harvey and Jeff Bates combined for 4 innings of no-hit, no-run ball in those quick 3rd through 6th innings. Nolan Driscoll anchored the infield with solid play at short and Stephen Townsend and Pat Koenen each made multiple defensive stops.
