A great opening day for the animals! Hunter Brown answers twice with bases loaded. Jack Mannion get his BR pitching debut. Bennett Lemanski's first BR hit scores Drew Longo on a hit and run to win the game.

Michael Ferrara and Jack Mannion log their first BR hit.

Solid defense for the animals with Tom Pomroy cutting down lead runner at third twice and a put out at first to help Mannion out of a jam scoreless!

Woody Roman and Luke Ferris 2 for 3 and Joey Cifrino tore around the bases three times including one hit.

Ben Maude pounded an RBI double to Center in the second.

A Mother's Day special (1 hr 25min) on a windy cool day. AM's Cody Clifford & Salerno's Dom Harvey both threw very impressive complete qames. 6 hits vs 7 highlighted by 4 double plays with Salerno's 2nd Baseman Stephen Townsend turning two.

Panera Bread 11 vs. Matt Salerno Home Improvement 8 Hingham High School Tue, May 11/10 5:30 pm
Panera Bread bested Matt Salerno HI on a chilly night at the HS, 11-8. Strong pitching from PB's Sam D'Antuano and Austin Irvin kept Salerno in check until the 4th when Salerno scored 5 to make it close. Salerno's John Fisher (2 doubles) and Matt Port and Dom Harvey had 2 hits each to lead their offense.
Panera's Matt Kelly had a big day going 3/3 with a single, triple, and a HR, and Joe Lindsay continues to set the table at leadoff with 2 more runs scored.

The GRUESOME TWOSOME (Rocky Taverna (5) and CJ Mulieri (2) combined to pitch a gem against a tough opponent. 16 to 8 was the final score, with great hitting up and down the lineup.

Hingham Police 7 vs. Matt Salerno Home Improvement 7 Hingham Cronin Field Sun, May 23/10 11:30 am
Dan Fleites, in the bottom of the 7th, drove in the game-tying run for the Police at the end of a well played closely matched square-off. A lot of offense in the first two innings put the score at 7-5. But that's where it stayed for the next 5 innings. The last five innings were marked by solid pitching and defense on both sides. For Police, Boynton had 4 solid innings through the stretch and Jack Walsh was the closer. Parker Doyle had the defensive gem of the day for Police with a rally killing assist from right field to first to turn back a sure single. For Salerno, Dom Harvey and Jeff Bates combined for 4 innings of no-hit, no-run ball in those quick 3rd through 6th innings. Nolan Driscoll anchored the infield with solid play at short and Stephen Townsend and Pat Koenen each made multiple defensive stops.

Salerno's bats came out strong to score four in the first highlighted by a triple by Matt Port and a home run by Nolan Driscoll. Salerno continued to build on that lead as Dom Harvey and Nolan Driscoll combined on a two-hit shutout gem. The play of the game came when Driscoll hit a shot that bounced higher than expected and hit pitcher Kevin Tyrell in the collar-bone and the noise was heard a mile away. Tyrell heroically managed to take the deflected ball and throw out Driscoll at first before he had to leave the game to tend to the wound.

After a fast 6 innings of a 3-3 evenly matched game, Matt Salerno erupted for 10 runs in the top of the 7th highlighted by a grand slam home run by Matt Port and a two run single by Dean Paul.
JD Law's Jackson Hartwell got on base three times and scored two of JD Law's runs.

Great first round matchup. Jeff Bates and C.J. Mulieri had a pitchers duel with a 3-3 tie after three and a half innings, But Salerno opened things up in the next couple innings led by Matt Port's two hits including a two run double and Billy Pershing a clutch triple for an insurance run late in the game.

After nine innings of even baseball, Matt Salerno pushed across four runs in the top of the seventh to win 10-6 in 10 innings. Great pitching on both sides by Mannion and Pomroy for Old Derby Animal Hospital and Nolan Driscoll and Dom Harvey for Matt Salerno. Great defensive plays by MSalerno's Denver Lincoln, Joey Garrity, and Jeff Bates spoiled a couple of Old Derby rallies.

Boston Podiatry 10 vs. Matt Salerno Home Improvement 0 Hingham High School Tue, Jun 15/10 5:30 pm
Congratulations to the finalists Matt Salerno Home Improvement who lost in the finals to Boston Podiatry 10-0. The score did not reflect how close the game was until the 5th inning. Robert Madden pitched no hit ball, and had 12 strikeouts, Joe Lahey scored 3 times and Mike Mondo scored twice. Nick Wheeler hit a walk off single knocking in the last 2 runs, Connor Bucklin played tough defense and boston Podiatry got solid catching from David Hutchinson. Boston Podiatry has not given up a run in the first two playoff games that they have played, thanks to good pitching from Tom Landry first playoff game he pitched only allowing two hits and striking out 14 batters in a 3-0 win over Hingham Police
Congratulations to Mat Salerno Home Improvements for a great season and they had given up some of there starter players to be in the state tennis playoff finals, congratulations to the Hingham Tennis Team for winning the State finals for Ma.
