A great game between heavyweights Panera Bread and Boston Podiatry results in a 3-3 draw. Panera's Big Will McCullough tossed a no-hitter into the 6th until Connor Bucklin's single started BP's rally to tie the game at 3. Defense was strong on both sides, and after Joe Lindsay and Matt Kelly scored in the 1st, BP's aces Joe Leahy and Tom Landry kept Panera off balance all night, highlighted by Panera's Eddie Bowler's 2 doubles.

Congratulations to the finalists Matt Salerno Home Improvement who lost in the finals to Boston Podiatry 10-0. The score did not reflect how close the game was until the 5th inning. Robert Madden pitched no hit ball, and had 12 strikeouts, Joe Lahey scored 3 times and Mike Mondo scored twice. Nick Wheeler hit a walk off single knocking in the last 2 runs, Connor Bucklin played tough defense and boston Podiatry got solid catching from David Hutchinson. Boston Podiatry has not given up a run in the first two playoff games that they have played, thanks to good pitching from Tom Landry first playoff game he pitched only allowing two hits and striking out 14 batters in a 3-0 win over Hingham Police

Boston Podiatry wins the World Series 2 games to 1 and are the 2010 Hingham Hull Babe Ruth Champs.
Panere Bread played there hearts out , they faced an older more experienced team today , they were shorthanded and had a much younger team on the field and they were one out or one pitch away from being the champs, Panera Bread players and coaching staff should be proud of how the team played today.
Boston Podiatrys' younger players came through in the clutch today and should also be proud of how they represented there team, the older players hung in there and helped the younger players become champions.
I would like to thank the Hingham Hull Babe Ruth Board members for all the time and effort that they donated to make the 2010 baseball season so successful, also thanks to the umpires for being there for the whole series . they did a great job and we know that it was not easy.
CONGRATULATIONS TO BOSTON PODIATRYS' PLAYERS AND COACHES FOR BEING THE 2010 HINGHAM HULL BABE RUTH CHAMPS |
