The Hingham-Hull Babe Ruth 15 yr. olds have earned their way into the Eastern Massachusetts State Championship Semi-Final game v. Plymouth this Friday, July 30th. at 5:30 p.m. at Siever Field in Plymouth. The team beat Burlington 7-2, lost to Lynn 2-1 (Hingham was winning 1-0 until the bottom of the 7th. inning-heartbreaker) and beat Medford 11-1 to get to the Semi-Final game.
They have done the program proud and a number of folks at the tournament site are rooting for them. It would be great to get some hometown support because there are no bad teams left at this point and they'll need to play their best.
If they win on Friday, the team will play in the Eastern Massachusetts Championship game on Saturday the 31st. at 1 p.m. at Siever Field. The winner of the Championship game goes on to the Babe Ruth New England Regional Tournament which is being held at Adams Field in Quincy.
