HINGHAM-HULL 15s VIRTUALLY ASSURED OF BERTH IN STATE SEMI-FINAL
The bats came alive for the HHBR 15s tonight who beat Medford 11-1 in a mercy rule shortened game. Billy Boynton did a fantastic job pitching, surrendering only one run on a solo home run in the first inning which proved to be Medford's only score of the game. HHBR answered with a Stephan White homerun in the bottom of the first inning to tie the game in short order. After that, Hingham-Hull went on a hitting tear with 4 doubles in a row combined with some walks to rack up 8 runs in one inning.
The 15s are now 2-1 in pool play in the state tournament and are virtually ensured of a berth in the State Championship Semi-Final game. The American League State Championship Semi-Final Game is scheduled for Thursday, July 29th. at 5:30 at Siever Field in Plymouth. It's great baseball and the guys would love some hometown support!!!
