The HHBR 15s will be playing in the Eastern Mass State Tournament starting this Thursday the 22nd at Siever Field in Plymouth.
HHBR will be playing on Thursday the 22nd. v. Burlington at 5:30 p.m., on Saturday the 24th. v. Lynn at 11:45 a.m. and on Sunday the 25th. v. Medford at 5:15 p.m.
The teams in the American Division pool with Hingham-Hull are Lynn, Burlington and Medford. The teams in the National Division pool are Norwood, Taunton, Sandwich and Plymouth. Following 3 games of pool play, the teams will be seeded and the top two teams in each pool will advance to the semi-finals in cross-over play. (ie: Seed #1 in pool 1 will play Seed #2 in pool 2 and Seed #1 in pool 2 will play Seed #2 in pool 1) The semi-finals will be played on Thursday the 29th. or Friday the 30th. at 5:30 p.m. The Championship game will be played on Saturday the 31st. at 1 p.m.
Directions to Siever Field are: Rt. 3 South to Exit 6. Take a left at the end of the ramp. Take a left at the traffic light. At the end of the road, take a right and the field will be right there.
Admission of $3.00 will be charged on weekdays and $5.00 will be charged on weekends. (the host town had to pay $1,000 to Babe Ruth National and wants to recoup that )There are concessions and tournament t-shirts with the team rosters will be for sale for $15.
It has been a looongg time since a HHBR team won the District and the guys would love some home town support. Please come cheer them on if your schedule allows!!
