The binder should include: player cards, insurance certificate, certificate of eligibility, playing rules, typed team roster and coaches certificate. It is recommended that the districts managers review the national Babe Ruth website for verification of the documents required in the binder. All districts managers and coaches must complete the coaches certification test on the national Babe Ruth website if they have not already completed this certification. HHBR will reimburse any managers and coaches for the cost of this certification.
b. Selection Process
All teams shall have a roster of 12 -15 players. Managers for all 10 teams submit nominations of players from their teams. The managers and the executive positions on the Board of Directors then vote on the nominees in order to determine 10 players on the roster who are placed on the roster by vote.
The managers for all teams are then nominated and voted on by the managers and executives of the Board of Directors. The managers will then supplement the initial 10 player roster with selections from the nominations list up to 15 players.
It was decided by the Board of Directors that all players will play within their baseball age.
No additional money is charged to play in the Districts.
In order to be eligible for nomination, the player must have played in at least 50% of the regular season games including playoffs.
