Board of Directors Meeting Minutes 3/12/09
Present: Igo, O'Brien, Pomeroy, Donovan, Trubia, Blomberg, Flanagan, Sherman, Linehan

I. Registrations
Current Numbers
13s 49
14s 37
15s 28
Total current registrations: 114
The general estimate for final registration numbers is 150 with a goal of 12 teams.
There is the annual need for follow-up with players who have played in past years but have not yet registered. Rob Blomberg will follow-up on the 15s, Melissa Flanagan on the 14s, Rick Linehan on the 13s and Jim Trubia on the Hull players.
In response to inquiries about receiving a discount if a player registers for the spring and summer seasons separately, it was decided to keep the policy in place that it is necessary to register for both the spring and summer seasons simultaneously in order to receive the discount.
There are currently 2 requests for scholarships which were approved.

II. Equipment
- There are enough uniforms for 14 teams.
- The $125 for plastic storage bins was again approved.
- 12 shirts are missing from the Hingham Lumber team. It was decided to send invoices out to those who have not returned the shirts as it had been previously stated as policy that those who did not return shirts would have to pay for them. The replacement cost is $36 per shirt.
The Babe Ruth discount cards for Sports Authority will be disbursed to the managers for distribution to the players.

III. Sponsors
Committed Sponsors

The Rec Wagon will be operational for the Districts at Cronin.
The Districts start on June 26th. and finish by July 12th.

V. Finances
$5,000 is the approximate balance in the account. Frank O'Brien will confirm the exact amount. Approximately $3,048 is still due to Anaconda for 960 game balls, 240 practice balls and 8 catchers helmets.

VI. Managers/Coaches
There are 9 confirmed managers: Rob Blomberg, Rick Carleson, Bill Donovan, John Ferris, Steve Glenzel, Rick Linehan, Bob Madden, Colin Pomeroy and Bob Spirito. Four of these have selected coaches to work with.
Rob Blomberg will continue to contact candidates to fill the remaining slots.

The season starts on April 28th. It was proposed to leave some Sundays open for rainouts.
With 10 or 11 teams, it was decided to have one league rather than 2 divisions of American and National.
Rick Linehan will revise the schedule at 11 or 12 teams.
The championship will be played no later than June 15th. to coordinate with the end of the school year.
Melissa Flanagan will pull the permit for Cronin Field from the Rec Department for April 1st. - November 1st.
