Meeting Minutes 9/15/08
Present: Igo, Thorne, Hutchins, Magner, Trubia, Flanagan, Sherman, Blomberg

I. Fall Ball
Brian Murphy is running a Fall baseball league out of Marshfield. There are 11 teams in the league from the towns of Silver Lake, Hanson, Marshfield, Duxbury, Hanover and Hingham. Players, baseball ages 13 and 14 this past season, pay $5 per game to cover the cost of umpires and games will be played on Saturdays and Sundays. Games start this Sunday 9/21.
Our league insurance coverage will extend to cover those players who were registered to play in Hingham-Hull Babe Ruth this past season. Budd Thorne pulled a permit from the Rec Department for the Fall season for Cronin Field to be available for play in this league.
The Hingham team will be coached by Bob Madden and Ron Minassian. Anyone interested in playing should contact Bob Madden at (781)953-1673.
Rob Blomberg will send a note out to this past season's coaches asking them to forward information about the Fall Ball season to their players.

II. Equipment
All equipment and uniforms have been turned in with the following exceptions:
- Gauthier & Connors from the Spring season
- 13A team from the Summer season turned in 13 vests, 5 need to be tracked down. Bob Madden will hold onto the equipment bag for the Fall season
- Bob Spirito has been permitted to keep his equipment and uniforms based on past reliabillity
$120 was approved to pay for new plastic bins for storage
There are currently 60 dozen baseballs in storage

III. Registration Fees
It was decided to offer a dual registration for both the Spring and Summer season at once. These registration forms will go out in January 2009. The cost for the 2009 season will be $150 for the Spring season and $150 for the Summer season if players are registered for these seasons individually. However, the cost for registering for the Spring and Summer seasons simultaneously will be $250 which will mean a significant savings of $50.
The cost for families with two players registered in the league will be $250 for the Spring season and $250 for the Summer season if the players are registered for these seasons individually. The cost for registering for the Spring and Summer seasons simultaneously for families with 2 players will be $400 for a savings of $100.

IV. Annual Meeting
The proposed date for the Annual Meeting is Sunday, October 18, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Rec Center. Budd Thorne will check on the availability of the Rec Center for that date and time.
Once the availability is confirmed, Save The Date postcards will be mailed to the families on the Hingham-Hull Babe Ruth list as well as the incoming 13 year olds from Hingham Little League.
Leo Peloquin will also do an announcement to run in the Hingham Journal.
